UPDATE: Large grass fire reported near Lone Oak

A large grass fire has been reported near Lone Oak, with many local fire departments responding.

UPDATE 3:33 - The Hunt County Fire Marshall has reported that the fire is only about 50 acres, and is currently 10% contained, but is under control. The fire is no longer advancing and the eight structures are currently out of danger.

The fire is located on a 150-acre ranch near Lone Oak.  

Original Story

The fire was reported near FM 2947 and CR 3517  at about 2:15 Tuesday afternoon.

Lone Oak, Greenville, Quinlan, Cash, Celeste, Campbell, East Tawakoni, West Tawakoni, Tawakoni South and Point fire departments have responded to the scene, with the Texas Forest Service being requested.

The American Red Cross is preparing rehab assistance for any firefighters responding to the scene.

At 2:50, the blaze had consumed over 150 acres of land.

No word yet on injuries or structural damages, but eight structures along County Road 3517 are said to be threatened.
