Commerce – An arrest warrant has been issued for 19 year old William Baker of Dallas in connection with a shooting last week at Mitchell Hall on the A&M-Commerce campus. University Police issued the warrant yesterday afternoon for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police found the window and ceiling of a second story unit penetrated by a bullet, and a woman with a minor wound on her upper arm after responding to a call at 1:30am March 3rd. Investigators found a single casing outside the residence hall from an assault-style weapon.
Baker is not currently enrolled in classes at A&M-Commerce, and seems to have moved out of his residence hall. It is not known if Baker has any connection to a knife fight and a vehicle theft that occurred the same night
