Wild Hog Meat For Families In Need

Coy Hirth of Slappy's Hog Trapping
Luke Clayton
Coy Hirth of Slappy's Hog Trapping

This week Luke visits with Mr. Coy Hirth with Slappy's Hog Trapping. Coy has found a way to get the excellent meat from the wild hogs he traps to families that really need it. His 'model' works like this: He traps hogs that are tearing up farmers fields or the lawns of businesses, field dresses the animals and delivers them to Kuby's Game Processing in Dallas where for a nominal fee, the wild pork is processed. Hirth then arranges for the meat to go to families that need it. Although Hirth operates basically in Dallas and Kaufman county, his plan for getting wild pork to needy folks could be replicated throughout the state. All that is necessary is a competent trapper with the desire to help others and a game meat processor willing to do the processing. Folks wishing to help can donate directly to Kuby's Game Processing in the name of Slappy's Hog Trapping. To learn more, go to Facebook and like "Slappy's Hog Trapping".
