Dayton Green, 21, of Campbell, is scheduled to appear in appeals court Oct. 18. Green is appealing his life sentence in connection with a November 2019 incident in which he fled from police and fired shots at officers following a high-speed chase.
Hopkins County sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement officers chased a suspect at speeds of more than 100 MPH Sunday night. The chase ended in the Texarkana area, where two suspects from the pursued vehicle were arrested.
Hunt Regional Healthcare reported 161 patients at the Greenville hospital, including 41 COVID-positive patients. Of the 18 patients in the ICU, 13 have COVID.
