Judy Rudoff and Amy Stark of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce relate plans for the Merry Marketplace, a sale and auction of Christmas gifts, many handmade, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (December 7) at the church, located on Highway 24 across from Texas A&M-Commerce.  The event raises money for the church's mission projects, and also includes a homemade stew lunch.

Sam Caldwell, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce, says the church will observe its 50th anniversary in the current building on Highway 24 across from Texas  A&M-Commerce on Sunday (October 20).  The public is invivted to attend services at  10:50 a.m.  A lumcheon will take place afterward, and those who would like attend may make a reservation at (903) 886-3220.

Angela Roberts and Judy Rudoff of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce relate plans for the Merry Marketplace and Lunch for Missions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (December 1).  Many hand-made  and vintage items are for sale and the church offers stew and chili for lunch.  Proceeds go to numerous charitable and mission projects.  The Merry Marketplace is one of many events Saturday as part of "A Bois D'Arc Christmas" in Commerce.
