Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

According to the Sulphur Springs News-Telegram, Gary Lee Sillivan of Cooper, 43, is in Hopkins County jail on charges of online solicitation of a minor, according to Sheriff’s Chief Investigator Lewis Tatum. He is being held in lieu of $35,000 bond on the second-degree felony charge.

A 31 year old Commerce resident faces charges of Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography.

About 3 weeks ago, the Commerce Criminal Investigations Division received information from the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, about an individual in the City of Commerce downloading and distributing child pornography.  The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has been working in conjunction with the ICAC (Internet crimes against children) Task Force and the Commerce Police Department on these types of cases.  

Two Hopkins County men are in jail and facing charges of possessing child pornography, according to a report by Tyler-based KLTV. The men's cases are unrelated, the report said.

Richard Lee Stewart, 31, of Sulphur Springs told investigators that the presence of graphic images of children on his computer was "accidental," according to police. Stewart was arrested on June 25. His bond is set at $10,000.

Dathan Artemus Durant, 56, of Cumby was arrested earlier this month, KLTV said. Durant is also at the Hopkins County Jail on $10,000 bond.
