Dr. Dale Funderburk, professor of economics at Texas A&M University-Commerce, analyzes a recent Dallas Morning News story that reports that Dallas-Forth Worth generated the third most new jobs among metro areas in 2015, with 98,900.  And despite the decline in oil prices, Texas was third among the states in job creation, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Neighboring states Louisiana and Oklahoma lost jobs in 2015.
