Dr. John Ballotti, Sherry Johnson and Debbie Patterson visit the Blacklands Cafe, representing the Commerce Community Action Program, or C-CAP.  Sherry discusses the planned bus trip to the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Okla., Wednesday, March 18.  The deadline to make a reservation is Thursday, March 12.  Debbie discusses the "We Care Fair" for non-profit organizations Saturday, April 25.  And Dr. Ballotti says the Community Garden, on property behind the First United Methodist Church, is ready for spring gardeners.

Commerce Mayor Dr. John Ballotti and the city's tourism and events coordinator Sherry Johnson announce that the Susan G. Komen Ride for the Cure, a trail riding event with horses, will take place south of Commerce at the Mary Bonham Equine Pavilion, Saturday, Nov. 14.  The Susan G. Komen organization is dedicated to fighting breast cancer.

City of Commerce tourism and event coordinator Sherry Johnson is promoting naming rights for three baseball/softball fields at the Eddie Moore Sports Complex.  The city is hoping to raise $7,500-10,000 to support youth sports programs in Commerce.
