Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville, and one of the leaders of the annual Bras for the Cause event, says the organization recently announced its 2019 theme -- "Brallywood" -- at a "Table Talk" event at the Texan Theater in Greenville. Pud says Bras for the Cause -- which supports treatment of cancer victims at Hunt Regional Medical Center -- is within reach of the $1 million mark in donations raised.

Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville says the Texan Theater in downtown Greenville is returning to its history as a movie theater by showing cartoons and short features from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and full-length classic films from 11-2 Saturdays and Sundays.  Admission is free.

United Way of Hunt County

Hunt County United Way executive director Frances Dalbey says the organization is taking applications from non-profit organizations for funding in 2019.  The deadline to apply is April 13.  The annual spring fund raising event for the United Way will be a luncheon, "Living Well Aware" with speaker Dr. Patsy Sulak of Temple, Thursday, April 5 at the Texas Theater in Greenville.
