The Independence Day Celebration in commerce starts at 4:40 this afternoon at Bi-Centennial Park. Plenty of activities for the kids are planned, including pony rides, a climbing wall, and joust games. BBQ dinners will be available starting at 5, with hot dogs and ice cream also up for sale. Live music hits the stage at 4:30 also, and four bands are scheduled to play until the fireworks display around 9:30.
Admission is one can of food to be donated to those in need.
