By Brad Kellar

Commerce – A Commerce child abandonment case is resolved.

43-year-old Laurie Candice Bollin, of Commerce, entered a guilty plea Wednesday to two counts of child abandonment. Under a plea bargain arrangement, Bollin was placed on two years of deferred adjudication probation, with a $500 fine and 120 hours of community service. She was also ordered to attend parenting classes.

Bollin was indicted in January for allegedly leaving a 6-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy alone in a motel room in November, 2008. Bollin was arrested on the charge the same day.
