Not guilty plea heard in robbery, organized crime case

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A Greenville woman pleads not guilty to charges of aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime in a May 2009 armed holdup.

27-year-old Crystal Heath was arraigned on the charges Thursday. A tentative trial date was set for Nov. 15. Heath and Bryana Bankston were indicted last fall.

Bankston reportedly told officers she had no idea the passengers in her vehicle were planning to commit a robbery at the Chalet Apartments. The charges against her were recently dismissed.

Bankston said the juvenile gave the money taken in the hold-up to Heath, who handed it over to officers following a traffic stop.
