$6.5 million bond set in Greenville shooting

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A record bond is set in connection with a Greenville shooting.

19-year-old Francisco Javier Davila-Rodriguez was reported to be in stable condition Monday at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Davila-Rodriguez was arraigned at the hospital on four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of deadly conduct. Justice of the Peace Aaron Williams set the bond on all charges at $6.5 million, believed to be the highest in Hunt County history.

The record bond was set due to the multiple number and severity of the alleged offenses, and also because Davila-Rodriguez, who lists a Greenville address, is in the country illegally.

Davila-Rodriguez was flown to Parkland Saturday evening following an alleged gun battle with Greenville Police.
