Paris – A Paris man is facing charges in connection to the death of his infant son, who was brought to the city's hospital and died.
Police were called to Paris Regional Medical Center North ER Monday afternoon regarding an injured child.
A preliminary investigation shows one-year-old Darrell Hood III had been brought to the ER by his mother and father. Authorities say the baby was reportedly punched in the chest several times.
His father, Darrell Wayne Hood Junior, is being charged with injury to a child, and was booked into jail.
An investigation is continuing. Autopsy results are pending.
