Late-night storms affect region

As most people were falling asleep, Mother Nature was starting her day off with a bang!

Severe storms moved through the area early Thursday morning causing reports of half-dollar sized hail in Rockwall County and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning throughout.

Downed trees and power outages were reported across the region, but no major damage was reported.

Daniel was born and raised in Commerce, TX, and has been a life-long listener of 88.9 KETR. After listening to ‘The Art of Sound’ with Mark Chapman as a child, he enjoyed the thought of being able to broadcast across NE Texas.
