Mary visits the Texas Gulf Coast for an unforgettable Whooping Crane watching journey.

In this episode, Mary talks about the Whooping Crane, whose numbers in Texas were on a sharp decline over the past 50 years.  Conservation efforts have helped to replenish the numbers of the majestic bird, and Mary was able to witness the large bird in all it's glory during her visit to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.

More on these birding trips can be found at Mary Clark's website, including photographs.
