Mary made a stop in the largest Israeli city of Nazareth during a recent trip, and found an unexpected place to have a meal.

Stops on the Nazareth trip included the  historic Church of the Annunciation, and St. Joseph's Church. Locals later recommended lunch at the area YMCA, of all places, where Mary found a delightful mixture of foods, cultures, and religions.

Mary Clark Traveler is heard Tuesday mornings at 7:20 during Morning Edition on KETR.
