Water levels OK now, but not for long

SULPHUR SPRINGS - Drought conditions in Texas are continuing to diminish water supplies locally.

Cooper Lake, the primary water source for Sulphur Springs is now more than 10 feet low. Lake Sulphur Springs is about 6 feet below normal.

According to city officials, there is ample water for the city’s needs right now, but problems could arise by next year should dry conditions continue this fall and winter.
