LADONIA - Kevin Mayberry, police chief for the City of Ladonia, is stepping down. A reception is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.
According to Ladonia City Council Member P.K. Kirkpatrick, Chief Mayberry will continue to work part time as a reserve officer in order to spend more time with his growing business.
On August 6, the council extended Chief Mayberry’s employment with the city for four more years. Calvin Corbett is now listed as acting police chief.
Refreshments will be served at Tuesday evening’s event.
