On second thought, Dr. Pamela Anglin will be staying right where she is, as president of Paris Junior College ( PJC).

Anglin had announced her resignation last month, in order to take a post with Blinn College.

But the PJC Board of Regents reconsidered the resignation during its Monday morning meeting, after Anglin said she wanted to stay with the college.

“My heart is here,” she said. “As we went through homecoming, I looked at the students and I looked at the people who are part of the college and I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t leave.”

Anglin will continue as PJC president. Anglin has served the last 10 years in the position.

She had been scheduled to start at Blinn College on Jan. 1, as vice president for Academic Affairs. Anglin began her academic career at Blinn as vice president of Business Services, where she helped complete construction of the Bryan campus.
