While traveling back from Cooper, a pickup driven by William Stewart drifted off to the side of Farm-to-Market 1533 early Thursday morning. It is believed he was returning to his home in Ben Franklin.
When he overcorrected it sent his vehicle into a Milo field. The 63-year old driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. In investigating the scene the authorities believe he might have been distracted.
