Man sentenced for assaulting Commerce cops

Commerce – A sentence has been handed down in connection with an assault on two Commerce police officers. Terrence Anthony Roundtree pled guilty Friday under a plea agreement and received 10 years of deferred adjudication probation and ordered to pay fines and restitution. He pled guilty to one count of aggravated assault against a public servant and one count of assault against a public servant. Roundtree assaulted two officers, seriously injuring one, during a traffic stop on April 2nd.
