Commerce fire kills two

A weekend house fire in Commerce takes the lives of two residents. Commerce Police and fire officials responded to two 911 hang-ups received at 3:52 a.m. Sunday to discover a residence along Sycamore Street on fire.

Approximately 13 persons were reported living in the residence. A press release states that the two killed in the fire failed to escape the residence. They've been identified as five old Tryston Easley and 61 year old Lee Easley. There were also reports of minor injuries to other persons from the residence. Neither the size of the residence nor the degree of damage sustained were including in the press release.

Emergency responders in Commerce were assisted by a collection of officials including the Campbell and Wolfe City Fire Departments, American Red Cross and Hunt County Environmental officers. Investigators with the Commerce Fire Department, Commerce Police Department and Hunt County Fire Marshall's Office are in charge of the investigation.
