Commerce – A Commerce man was indicted Friday for aggravated assault in connection to a throat-slashing incident in June.
17-year-old Corey Dominic Heath received one indictment for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Heath has reportedly confessed to slashing the throat of a victim following an argument over a shirt in the 1900 block of Pecan Street.
The victim's throat was reportedly cut from his Adam's apple to his left ear with a pocket knife, and required approximately 1,000 stitches to close.
