Greenville – A sentence is expected this week in connection to the death of a child in Greenville.
Christina Renee Rodriguez entered an open plea of guilty last month on a charge of criminally negligent homicide in the 2008 death of an infant.
A punishment hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning.
Rodriguez was arrested December 3. She was alleged to have been negligent in causing the death of the two-month-old girl by holding the child as she fell asleep after having consumed more than the required amount of prescription medication.
