This week Alice saw The Divergent Series: Insurgent starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James, and The Cobbler starring Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi.

Alice describes Insurgent as the lead-up to what is going to happen in the next two movies from The Divergent Series, but doesn't lack in action and has a startling twist at the end. The characters continued to develop, although Alice wishes she knew a little more about Four. She highly recommends this movie.

The Cobbler, on the other hand, was not one of her favorites. This movie was written and directed by Tom McCarthy, who wrote the screenplay for Up. It follows the main character, a cobbler, as he becomes the owners of the shoes he repairs.

You can listen to Movie Picks with Alice Reese every Friday at 4:50 and 5:50 PM during All Things Considered.
