This is the last week of Movie Picks with Alive Reese. Alice will be moving to The Blacklands Cafe with Dr. John Mark Dempsey. So instead of Friday afternoon's with Alice, you can hear her twice a month in the mornings during Morning Edition.

On this final edition of Movie Picks as we know it, Alice reviews The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Eye in the Sky, The Bronze and Hello, My Name is Doris.

This stars Rob Schneider as Norm, a talking and dancing polar bear who journey to New York to try and save his home. Alice thought the message might be over the heads of the target audience, but it's a cute bear that dances.

This week on Movie Picks, Alice reviews The Revenant, and refreshes our memories on a few movies out on DVD this week.

The Revenant:

Leonardo DiCaprio has, in Alice's opinion, his best chance yet to finally nab an Oscar. Alice really enjoyed this movie, and even though it runs a bit long, she never felt it.

Alice also has some DVD's she thinks you should check out.

It's set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher return as their original roles, but this film mainly focuses on a new generation of characters. Alice thinks it will be as big as all the hype.

This week on Movie Picks with Alice Reese, she reviews The Good Dinosaur, Secret in their Eyes, and By the Sea. She also add a few options for your holiday movie escapes.

The Good Dinosaur is Pixar's second movie of the year, and Alice really enjoyed it. The animation is amazing and well worth the price of admission. Raymond Ochoa plays the lead character of Arlo.
