PARIS - Dozens of members of the 721stEngineers Company of the Army Reserve were presented with Veterans Calendars Tuesday prior to their departure from Paris.
A group of area fourth grade students had drawn pictures for a calendar being sold to help build the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial.
The soldiers left for a 400 day deployment in Afghanistan. More reservists from Tyler and Grand Prairie will join the troops before they travel overseas.
