Gen. Claire Chennault birthplace will be recognized Oct. 14

Texas A&M University-Commerce College of Business development director Wyman Williams says plans are being made for a ceremony Wednesday, October 14 unveiling a new historical marker at the birthplace of Flying Tigers Gen. Claire Chennault on north Monroe Street in Commerce.  The new marker will stand alongside the existing marker and will be the first Texas Historical Commission marker in another language, Mandarin Chinese.  Here's the biography of Gen.
