Hunt County Historical Commission chairman Carol Taylor says the 22nd Cotton and Rural History Conference at the Audie Murphy-American Cotton Museum in Greenville starts at 10 a.m. Saturday (April 28).  The keynote speaker is University of Mississippi professor Dr. Jarod Roll, who will speak on efforts to unionize cotton pickers during the Great Depression.  We also discuss one of Carol's recent blogs on "scatter branch" creeks, that contribute to flooding, and the Scatter Branch community southwest of Commerce.
