Herald-Bannermovie critic Alice Reese says the dark comedy "Joker," starring Joaquin Phoenix, will be a contender for Academy Awards nominations next year, including Phoenix as Best Actor.  Alice also enjoyed "Judy," starring Renee Zellweger as tragic superstar Judy Garland in the last days of her life.
