University Shares 'Online Instruction' Plan Should Virus Impact Commerce Campus

UPDATE: Texas A&M University-Commerce has transitioned to online instruction "until further notice" as of March 12, 2020.

Previous story: Texas A&M University-Commerce president Mark Rudin shared an update Tuesday regarding the institution's plan of action should any student on the Commerce campus contract the coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.

Rudin had indicated on March 4 that steps were being taken as a precautionary measure, and included a note that the university was "prepared to transition from face-to-face calsees to online instruction should the need arise."

The Tuesday letter explains the specific conditions under which the campus would take such a step.

The letter can be viewed at this link: https://www.ketr.org/sites/ketr/files/covid-19_ltr.pdf

A&M-Commerce has created a "Stay Healthly Lions!" section on its website, tamuc.edu, which contains the latest information regarding coronavirus updates affecting the university community.
