Commerce – The Commerce Police executed a narcotics search warrant in January that resulted in shutting down a drug trafficking operation that had been under investigation for some time. A male and a female were taken into custody after a search warrant was served at 411-A Tarter Apartments in Commerce. 49-year-old Donna Michelle Hancock and 32-year-old Danny Duane Steel were both taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana. Hancock was also charged with probation violation.

Approximately five grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana was found. Numerous items of paraphernalia, packing material, and scales commonly used for distribution were also found at the scene.
