Greenville – A prison sentence has been handed down in a Greenville shotgun assault. Glenn Gene Guthrie III, of Greenville, was indicted by the Hunt County grand jury in July on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and also received an indictment for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Guthrie pleaded guilty to both charges Thursday. Under a plea bargain arrangement, Guthrie was sentenced to 10 years in a state prison on both charges.
