Hopkins County – After stopping an 18 wheeler for a commercial inspection, Trooper David Reynolds noticed improper modifications to a glass panel in the cab of the truck. The driver admitted to having contraband and a search revealed 700 pounds of marijuana in a hidden compartment.
47 year old Doel Rojas of Las Vegas was arrested on a charge of possession of over 50 but less than 2,000 pounds of marijuana - a second degree felony.
The weed was apparently picked up in Del Rio and was bound for Chicago and has an estimated street value of $500,000
