Commerce man charged for kidnapping and more

A Commerce man charged in connection with an alleged domestic violence kidnapping last week decided to skip a Thursday bond hearing.  Christopher Bernard Alex is being held in custody at the Hunt County Jail in lieu of a total of $45,000 bond on one count each of kidnapping- family violence, abandoning and endangering a child, evading arrest, and unlawful restraint.   A hearing had been scheduled for Thursday, but no action was taken as Alex refused to come to court.  No new hearing date has been scheduled.  Alex previously served time for a 2003 armed robbery.  He was arrested following a reported kidnapping October 13th.
