City of Commerce hires new code enforcement officer, targeting sub-standard buildings

New city of Commerce code-enforcement officer Chip Matthews teaches statewide courses in the enforcement of building codes and has written a new book on the subject.  He comes to Commerce from the city of Gainesville.  Matthews is also certified as a police officer.  He has already identified 88 vacant, sub-standard buildings in Commerce.  Chip is joined on the program by Commerce Mayor John Ballotti.
