Hunt County Master Gardener Stephanie Suesan Smith discusses a recent article by Texas gardening expert Neil Sperry on the "goofy" things that gardeners do, including pruning too much, using "native" plants that really aren't native, and insisting on trying to grow grass in the heavy shade.  Stephanie also describes a birdhouse building event for children this Saturday (June 13) at the Master Gardeners' center on Washington Street in downtown Greenville.  The deadline to register is today (Wednesday, June 10).
