Ainsworth Says 'American Bloomsbury' Makes Readers 'Deeper Thinkers'

Northeast Texas author Jim Ainsworth, who discusses books with us on the Blacklands Cafe, reviews "American Bloomsbury" by Susan Cheever, a book on the lives of Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, Henry David Thoreau and other authors who all lived in the community of Concord, Massachusetts.  Jim says reading about the literary greats, who considered themselves "transcendentalists," makes us deeper thinkers.   Jim also reviews a novel about Thoreau, "Woodsburner," by John Pipkin.
