Kaywin Conley of Kay’s Korner is spearheading a movement to help beautify the Square in Cooper. She is working with the City of Cooper to reestablish the sprinkler system in order to be able to plant flowers and greenery to make the Square attractive to citizens and visitors. However this work is estimated to cost $2,000.

Therefore the City of Cooper has set up a special fund for donations to help with this project.

The local Lions Club agreed to donate $100 as well as contributions from The Town and Country Garden Club. Conley has collected funds from local businesses especially those located on the Square. She is encouraging any other civic organizations or businesses to help support this project.

For more information contact City of Cooper Mayor Scotty Stegall at 903-395-2217.
