Texas A&M University-Commerce economics professor Dr. Dale Funderburk reflects on a recent article by Texas economist Dr. Ray Perryman, in which Perryman says, while the Texas economy has held up well despite the slump in the oil industry, the state must provide for its rapid population growth. Dr. Funderburk says the immigration to Texas from other states is greater than immigration from out of the country.
