Dr. Karri McCreary, co-owner of the Greenville Animal Hospital, contemplates the controversy over the trend of feeding raw food to pets.  Although eating raw food may seem natural for pets, Dr. McCreary says domestic dogs are far from their wild origins and may not be as well adapted to eating raw food as most people presume.  Concern also exists over bacteria from raw food causing sickness for people who handle it carelessly, or bacteria from raw food being transmitted from pets to people.
