This week on Lions Roar, Texas A&M University-Commerce Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Communications Josh Manck guest hosts and chats with Lions head track and field coach George Pincock about his squad's preparations for the indoor track and field championships coming up in the next two weeks. Manck also visits with Lions softball head coach Richie Bruister and junior outfielder Ciera Nunez about the team's 7-1 start to the season, as well as previewing their weekend matchup to start conference play against Tarleton State.

(Editor's Note: Due to the threat of weather, this weekend's softball games have been pushed back: Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m., while Friday night's game is now scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Sunday. More info available at LionAthletics.)

Benjamin, “BJ” Laudermilk, an aspiring play-by-play announcer, is a graduate of Rockwall High School and a current Radio and Television student at Texas A&M-Commerce. He began his sports broadcasting career as an on-air personality with his high school’s broadcasting team. He has been the walk-up announcer for his high school baseball team, the announcer and clock operator for middle school football teams, and most recently, was the “voice” of the Rockwall High School Orange Wave band.
