A&M-Commerce Lions lose home opener

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – The A&M-Commerce Lions dropped their home opener against the Tarleton State Texans Saturday. The final score was 17-7 Tarleton as the Lions struggled to bring life to an offense that hasn't found any stability so far this season. The Lions had a punt and a field goal blocked in the first half and allowed Tarleton States Derrick Ross to rack up 107 yards on 27 carries, including a final drive to run down the clock.

The Lions drop to 0 and 2 for the season, and face Midwestern State at home next week for a 6pm kick off.
