Lions drop first conference soccer game

By Kevin Jefferies

Wichita Falls – The A&M-Commerce women's soccer team slipped in their first conference game last night, losing 1-0 to Midwestern State in double overtime. The game-winning goal came 8 minutes into the second overtime and is just the fourth goal the Lions have allowed in seven games. The Lions led in shots for the day, but strong goaltending by Midwestern State kept A&M-Commerce from notching any points. The loss brings the soccer team to 5-2 overall and 0-1 on conference play.

Lions soccer continues conference play this Sunday on the road when they face Angelo State.
