Both Lone Star Conference soccer players of the week come from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Offensive honors go to forward Bailey Geels, a senior from McKinney, and defensive honors were given to goalkeeper Jennifer Alvarado, a sophomore from Southlake.
At this week's Lone Star Conference basketball pre-season media day, the A&M-Commerce women's basketball team was forecasted to finish first and the men second in the LSC North Division. Lions junior guard Britney Jordan was picked the North Division's women's pre-season player of the year.
