Greenville man given 10 years in prison

Greenville – A Greenville man is sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to a burglary charge.

Under a plea bargain arraignment, Michael Phillip Davis was given 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.

Davis was arrested in November, 2008 after breaking into a local residence, which resulted in a three hour standoff with police. Davis was alleged to have broken into a residence in the 3600 block of Washington Street with the intent of assaulting a female victim.
