Park dedication set for Tuesday in Greenville

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A park in Downtown Greenville will be dedicated Tuesday. The ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the northwest corner of Lee and Wesley Street for "The Spot," or Smart Parks of Texas.

The park was the brainchild of the Hunt County Chamber of Commerce 2009 Leadership Class and was designed as a prototype model in order to highlight the principals of smart growth.

The park features crushed-granite walkways, concrete curbed gutting, a bike rack, bench, two picnic tables, trash cans and a variety of plants.
