Tyler – A Wood County official is in stable condition following last week's alleged attack by a mentally ill man.
The attack on Constable for Precinct 2 Ed Shadbolt took place at a home in Mineola.
He has been taken out of intensive care at ETMC in Tyler and moved to a private room.
Any pending charges against the suspect will be determined after interviews with Shadbolt.
