Sulphur Springs – US Army Staff Sergeant Brooke E. Brittain, a Sulphur Springs native, has been awarded the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in following her second tour of duty in Iraq.
She was a battle desk NCO for an MP battalion. That battle desk commanded and coordinated 9 MP companies.
Now that Sgt Brittain is back in Texas, she will resume her teaching and coaching career in Denison.
